The best apps to monitor your kid's phone.
Here is a little top of the best parental control software to monitor everything your child does on their smartphone. I try to keep this article up to date by testing each software personally. However, there are loads of apps on the market to monitor your children's smartphones, and I inevitably miss them. So if you have a positive experience with software that I haven't mentioned and want to tell me about it, feel free to leave a comment at the end of this article.
What should you know beforehand?
The first place goes to mSpy. I have already spoken about it several times - Always in positive terms - On my blog.
mSpy is the most widely used parental control app in the world and offers all the features you need to monitor your child's smartphone.
The software is available in two versions, Basic and Premium. By the way, if you need to monitor more than one device, you can purchase the Mobile Family Kit license, which gives you 3 Premium licenses.
Here are the differences between these two versions.
The Basic version is non - Invasive and gives you control over the main activities of your child's device, such as geolocation (in real time), call log, internet history, photos and videos.
The Premium license is more invasive. It allows you to access the main social networks and read the chats of Messenger (Facebook), WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Telegram and many others.
All of these features work on all devices (iOS and Android). I have to tell you something though: System Root is needed for Android smartphones, but you don't need to Jailbreak an iPhone (it's only needed to access a few features like Messenger and Instagram chats).
Android rooting and iPhone jailbreaking are procedures that allow you to "unlock" advanced features of smartphones. Simply put, they remove some software blocks that prevent access to phone data from spyware and parental control software.
If you want to know everything about the differences between the Basic version and the Premium version, I suggest you take a look at the mSpy site.
To sum up, mSpy is a complete piece of software with a plethora of features. It is in my opinion the best on the market. If you do not know the mSpy app and you do not know how to use it, mSpy will assist you throughout the installation with its exclusive mAssistance service.
What should you know beforehand?
Flexispy is one of the best software out there, and it is very similar to mSpy. It contains over 150 distinct features including listening to and recording phone calls.
It is the only software to offer this functionality at present. It will also allow you to recover passwords used on your child's device.
So, is there a catch?
The only problem I have with this software is that it is a bit complicated to use. You don't have to be a computer engineer to use it, but you still need to know how to use a computer properly.
Although most of the features are the same as mSpy, you will still have access to a few unique features such as: call recording, real - Time call listening, surroundings recording (records what is happening around the smartphone) and data access from your smartphone without logging into the website.
Although there are many cool features, this program will only work on iPhone if it is Jailbroken.
If you don't even know what that means, mSpy is a suitable answer.
Here you have a complete solution for total monitoring of your child's smartphone, but you will need some technical knowledge. You will need to know the basics of how a smartphone works before attempting to install the software.
What should you know beforehand?
Family Time is an app that gives you almost complete access to the data on your child's smartphone.
Although it does not seem easy to use at first (the graphical interface is not exceptional), it is very easy to use and very complete.
Some of the features are very nice (homework time and bedtime, or just limiting the time spent on the phone).
In addition to those - Ci (which are practically exclusive to this App) you can add options like geofencing - Which allows you to receive alerts when the phone enters or leaves a specific area - Or block apps, sites and inappropriate videos, as well as monitoring of calls, contacts and messages.
Of course, it's available on iPhone and Android.
Family Time is a reliable and accurate app, but I only recommend it if your child is very young (on their first phone) and not using apps like WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram. In fact, unlike mSpy and Flexispy, Family Time is unable to monitor chats in these apps.
What should you know beforehand?
Mobicip is an app very similar to Family Time. It allows you to instantly block your child's device or decide to block only certain apps (like social networks) or streaming sites (very useful for limiting distractions during homework).
Unfortunately, just like Family Time, Movicip is unable to access WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram conversations.
However, I found the GUI to be clean and modern, and very easy to navigate. It helps you customize your settings and monitor your children's activity by centralizing everything on one control page. It also makes it very easy to set daily and weekly time limits for each device.
From your dashboard, Mobicip allows you to view your child's browsing history for the last four weeks. Plus, with custom content blocking, you can prevent it from accessing the sites and apps that worry you.
Another point that I appreciate about Mobicip is its transparency and the high point it brings about data protection. No one other than you will ever be able to view your child's activity, and Mobicip is very adept at this point.
This parental control app is only available for a paid version, but you can take advantage of a 7 - Day trial period no matter which subscription you choose.
I recommend this App if your children are relatively young.
Warning: Whatever your choice, I must warn you that the use of this software is illegal as long as you spy on someone who has not given you their explicit consent. You could get into trouble with the law and even end up in jail. Pay attention. You will not be able to say that you have not been warned.
With the growth of the internet and social media, monitoring has become a full - Time task for many parents. Often, children talk about their problems or generally talk on the internet rather than to their parents.
There are risks involved in using the internet for children. Despite the undeniable advantages of its ubiquity, real dangers persist.
Watching your child can help protect them from dangers such as:
Sexual abuse of minors. The rapist is often part of the family or friends circle and it can be difficult to find evidence or even to suspect someone. They could be someone you or your child talks to on a daily basis. According to a study, the internet remains one of the most important causes of this kind of monstrous behavior.
Pedophiles are often good at attracting children, so much so that they might not even see that such a threat exists. Give yourself the opportunity to sleep soundly by keeping an eye on the topics discussed in chats and text messages.
The likelihood that one of your children will be bullied at school has never been higher. Most of the time, the child does not talk about this humiliation. Not being able to get out of this destructive situation leads to a high number of suicides. Cyberbullying is also very prevalent through messaging apps.
Monitoring allows you to keep tabs on what's going on and to protect your child from that sort of thing.
For a child, true love is limited to this: love. With age you gain experience, and nothing is more worrying for a parent than a girl dating an older boy. He could potentially ask your daughter for things that she is not ready to give or live with.
Of course, you can't expect your daughter to give you details. The only way to protect it is to monitor sent and received messages.
You have certainly taught your children to beware of strangers, but sometimes that is not enough to protect them. Modern kidnappers are creative and know how to trap children who have little life experience. Obviously all of this goes beyond the cliché of weird guys giving out candy after school.
These apps allow you to monitor your child's location.
Drugs are more and more present among young people, and can cause serious problems. Many deaths of young people between the ages of 14 and 24 (under any circumstances) are linked to drug and alcohol use. These substances can lead to violence or even sexual abuse.
If your child has a problem, they are more likely to talk about it with a friend than with you. Keep up to date.
Hope the information provided in this guide has been helpful to you. I love helping others. Before we leave, I'll give you a quick recap of what's been covered throughout this guide - Just to make sure you haven't missed any important information.
There are dozens of apps that advertise watching and protecting children, but only a few really give you peace of mind about the safety of your children. In this guide, I've introduced you to the four best apps you can find on the internet:
The first is mSpy (the best in my opinion). It allows you to monitor everything your child does on their smartphone: messages sent and received on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram etc., the call log, internet history, geolocation, and more. You can find a full list of features on this page. It is easy to set up and costs less than € 50 per month.
The second is Flexispy. It's a great app that gives you full control over your kid's smartphone. Unlike mSpy, it can record calls. But at the same time it's a more complex app to use and installing it requires jailbreaking the iPhone or rooting the Android device. In addition, its price (for all features) is higher than average.
The third is Family Time. An app that allows you to block certain features of your child's phone and set time limits to avoid distractions during homework.
Finally, the fourth app is Mobicip. Software very similar to Famility Time which allows you to set time limits on your child's smartphone and block access to certain sites or apps during the day.
If you only want to monitor a few apps on your kid's smartphone, I suggest my guides on how to hack Facebook (and Messenger) accounts, how to hack WhatsApp account conversations, and how to hack Instagram profile.
As you know, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Snapchat are the most used social apps by children, and therefore they are the ones that require the most important monitoring.
As I mentioned before, I spend a lot of time testing spyware and apps to keep my guide up to date. That's why I advise you to come back every now and then and take a look at my blog messagingapplab.com to see if there is anything new.
That's all for today. If you have any doubts or questions, leave a comment under the article. I would be happy to help you.
